Lubricated Condoms

Lubricated condoms come pre-coated with a thin layer of silicone or water-based lubricant on the inside and outside of the condom. The internal lube makes them more comfortable to put on and reduces friction during sex for the wearer. The external lube reduces friction for the partner. Together, they make for a noticeably smoother and more comfortable experience than an unlubricated condom.

Most standard condoms on the market are lubricated, which makes this the default starting point for most buyers. The amount of lube varies by brand. Some apply a light coating. Others are generously lubricated out of the wrapper. If you find standard lubricated condoms dry out too quickly during longer sessions, adding a small amount of additional water-based lube on the outside makes a significant difference.
